RESOLUTION NO. 85-91
RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED LEVY FOR
SHADY HILLS STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, a contract is to be let for local improvements and the
City Administrator/Clerk has been directed to prepare a proposed levy for the
cost of the construction of said improvements designated as Project No. 91-1
and described as the Shady Hills Storm Sewer Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator/Clerk has been directed to
notify the Council that such proposed levy has been completed and filed in his
office for public inspection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Shorewood, Minnesota, that:
1. A hearing shall be held on the 14th day of October, 1991,
in the City Hall at 7:00 p.m., to pass upon a proposed levy for the
construction of the improvements described below. At such time and place all
persons owning property affected by such improvements will be given an
opportunity to be heard with reference to such levy.
2. The improvement described as the Shady Hill Storm Sewer
Improvements consists of a storm water drainage system for the Shady Hills
Subwatershed.
3. The estimated cost of the improvement is $31,000.00.
4. The area over which the levy will be imposed includes all
of the area within the Shady Hills Subwatershed, Storm
Sewer Improvement Tax District No.2.
5. The term over which the costs will be recovered is five
years.
Notice of the hearing on the proposed levy shall be published twice in the
official newspaper. The two publications shall be a week apart and the hearing
shall be at least 3 days after the last publication. Not less than ten days
before the hearing, notice of it shall be mailed to the owner of each parcel
within the area proposed to be taxed, including the estimated tax to be levied
against each parcel in the first year. For the purpose of giving mailed
notice, owners shall be those shown to be owners on the records of the county
treasurer.
