RESOLUTION NO. 14-90
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PARCELS
OF T AX-FORFEITED LAND
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Shorewood has received from
the County of Hennepin a list of non-conservation land which became the
property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate taxes; and
WHEREAS, the City does not desire to acquire such parcels of land
for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owners of land adjoining certain of the subject parcels
have indicated their desire to acquire such parcels; and
WH ERE AS, said parcels of land cannot be improved because they do not
comply with the minimum requirements of the Shorewood City Code and therefore
qualify for non-public auction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Shorewood as follows:
1. T hat the following parcels of land are approved for sale at
non-public auction to adjoining property owners pursuant to M. S. 282.01,
Subd. 7a.
(See attached Exhibit A)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council as follows:
1. That the following parcels of land are approved for sale by the
State of Minnesota at public auction.
(See attached Exhibit B)
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the
1st day of February, 1990.
