RESOLUTION NO.19-90
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF EXCELSIOR AND THE
COORDINATING COMMITTEE FOR SOUTH LAKE MINNETONKA
PUBLIC SAFETY DEPAR TMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood is a party to a Joint Powers
Agreement with the Cities of Excelsior, Greenwood, and Tonka Bay for the
provision of a full-time police protection department known as South Lake
Minnetonka Public Safety Department; and
WHEREAS, said Joint Powers Agreement grants the authority to provide
office space for the use of said South Lake Minnetonka Public Safety
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Excelsior has constructed a building which it
is willing to lease for the use of office space, and the South Lake
Minnetonka Public Safety Department is desirous of leasing said building.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
. 1. That the City Council hereby approves the lease agreement
between the City of Excelsior and the coordinating committee of the South
Lake Public Safety Department, a copy of which lease is attached hereto and
made a part hereof.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute
the said lease agreement on behalf of the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as parties to the Joint Powers Agreement.
