90-142 . . . 5/6/91 RESOLUTION NO. 142-90 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO DR. JOSEPH C. KISER WHEREAS, Dr. Joseph C. Kiser is the chief cardiovascular surgeon of the Children's Heart Fund and a resident of the City of Shorewood; and WHEREAS, Dr. Joseph C. Kiser is the recipient of the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor award, which honors contributions made to America by citizens from diverse ethnic groups and those individuals who have contributed distinguished service to humanity; and WHEREAS, Dr. Joseph C. Kiser has been honored for his outstanding contributions to needy children suffering from cardiac disease, particularly 100 Greek children who have benefited from the Children's Heart Fund care. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood as follows: 1. That Dr. Joseph C. Kiser be herewith recognized and thanked for his dedicated service and substantial contribution to the community. 2. T hat on behalf of his family, friends, and acquaintances, 0 r . Joseph C. C haris" prison ministry, counselling and assisting inmates and former inmates; and WHEREAS, Madonna Kerber has served st. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Excelsior parish as chair of Loaves and Fishes for many years; and WHEREAS, Madonna Kerber is the recipient of the Franciscan International Award for her ministry to the imprisoned and disadvantaged; and WHEREAS, Madonna Kerber has made many friends and endeared herself to the community during her years of service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood as follows: 1. That Madonna Kerber be herewith recognized and thanked for her dedicated service and substantial contribution to her community. 2.
