RESOLUTION NO. 129-90 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TEMPORARY WARMING HOUSE IN MANOR PARK WHEREAS, the Shorewood Park Commission (Applicant) located a temporary warming house at Manor Park, consisting of an 8 foot by 32 foot mobile building for a period of three months during the winter of 1989-1990, pursuant to a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) granted on 11 September 1989; and WHEREAS, said CUP was granted for a period of one (1) winter season only; and WHEREAS, the Applicant now requests that said CUP be granted for an additional season. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood as follows: FINDINGS OF FACT 1. That after due consideration the Park Commission has determined their capital improvements budget cannot afford a permanent building designed and built to code to be located on the site at this time. 2. T hat there is apparent neighborhood demand for some type of shelter facility to be located on the Park grounds. CONCLUSIONS That the application of the Applicant for a CUP for the location of a temporary warming house in Manor Park is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: 1. T hat the use of the temporary shelter in Manor Park shall be limited to the winter season of 1990-1991 only. . . . .. 2. T hat the City Council will again review the matter to determine if the construction of a permanent building in Manor Park is warranted. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 26th day of November, 1990.
