RESOLUTION NO. 94 -90
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE ERECTION OF
STOP SIGNS AND YIELD SIGNS AT
COVINGTON ROAD
WHEREAS, Shorewood City Code Section 801.01 adopts the provIsIons
of the Minnesota State Traffic Code, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 169 (as
amended), which Chapter provides that local authorities may place and
maintain such traffic control devices upon highways under their
jurisdiction as they deem necessary to regulate, warn, or guide traffic;
and
WHEREAS, the Council has made a determination that such traffic
control devices are necessary at certain locations on Covington Road and
on the service road to Highway 7 in order to regulate, warn and guide
traffic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Public Works Department is hereby directed to erect
yield signs at eastbound and westbound ramps from the Covington Road
ingress/egress at Highway 7 in an appropriately visible location.
2. That the Public Works Department is hereby directed to erect
stop signs on the service road to Highway 7 at Covington Road and on the
wayside rest exit at Covington Road in appropriately visible locations.
3. That this traffic regulation shall become effective at the
time of erection of said signs.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Shorewood this
10th day of September, 1990.
