RESOLUTION NO. 64-90
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND
CALLING FOR HEARING ON
WATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR THE
SOUTHEAST AREA TRUNK WATER SYSTEM
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the City Council adopted
February 26, 1990, a report has been prepared by Associated Consultants
Engineers, Inc., with reference to the construction of an improvement
designated as Water Treatment Plant for the Southeast Area Trunk Water
System, and this report was received by the Council on July 9, 1990.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council will consider the construction of such
improvement in accordance with the report and the assessment of the
benefiting property within the area served by the Southeast Area Trunk
Water System for all of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes Chapter 429. Estimated cost of improvement with iron removal
filter $508,000. Estimated cost of improvement with iron removal filter
and lime-soda softening $1,593,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement
at Minnewashta Elementary School, 26350 Smithtown Road, Shorewood,
Minnesota, on September 12, 1990, at 7: 30 p. m., and the clerk shall give
mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by
law.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Shorewood this
9th day of July, 1990.
