RESOLUTION NO. 27-90
A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF
APRIL 22-28, 1990
VOLUNTEER WEEK IN THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD
WHEREAS, the heart and soul of volunteer efforts is at
the local level among individuals, working to vitalize their
communities and leave a legacy for the future; and
WHEREAS, volunteers have been our vital resource,
enabling and guiding our efforts for the benefit of others; and
WHEREAS, volunteerism embodies a spirit of giving and
spirit of growth; and
WHEREAS, Shorewood is proud of the efforts of our
volunteers, and believes that their selfless giving has made our
world a better place in which to live
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Jan Haugen, Mayor of
Shorewood, do hereby proclaim the week of April 22-28, 1990, as
VOLUNTEER WEEK IN THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD
AND, BE IT RESOLVED, that copies of this proclaimation be
transmitted to the Volunteers of America as evidence of our
esteem.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the
Great Seal of the City of Shorewood to be affixed this 26th day
of February in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and ninety.
