A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PARCELS
OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Shorewood has received from
the County of Hennepin a list of non-conservation land which became the
property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate taxes; and
WHEREAS, the City does not desire to acquire such parcels of land
for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owners of land adjoining certain of the subject parcels
have indicated their desire to acquire such parcels; and
WHEREAS, said parcels of land cannot be improved because they do not
comply with the minimum requirements of the Shorewood City Code and therefore
qualify for non-public auction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Shorewood as follows:
1. T hat the following parcel of land is approved for sale at
non-public auction to the City of Shorewood at its appraisal value as
determined by the Hennepin County Board pursuant to Minn. Stat. Section
282.01, Subd. 1.
