RESOLUTION NO. 93-89
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PRoroSED 1990 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET AND 1989 PRELIMINARY PROPER'IY TAX LEVY
COLLECI'IBLE IN 1990 AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council and Financial Advis ory Board of the City of
Shorewood have reviewed the proposed 1990 General Fund Budget and
property tax levy presented by the City staff, and
WHEREAS, Minnesota State Law requires local governments to hold public
hearings on their proposed budgets and property tax levies, and
to publish notice of said public hearing to achieve truth in
taxation, and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Revenue has issued guidelines for
local gove rnments to follow in imp 1 emen ting truth in taxation
requirements, and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to follow such guidelines,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood that the proposed 1990 General Fund Budget is hereby
approved at a total amount of $2,086,671. a preliminary amount
of $1,684,576 will be raised by tax upon the taxable property in
the City of Shorewood for the following purposes:
General Purposes
G.O. Water Revenue Bonds
Total Property Tax Levy

ALSO RESOLVED that a public hearing on the proposed 1990 General Fund
Budget and property tax levy be held on December 11, 1989, at
7 :30 p.m., and be reconvened, if necessary, on December 12, 1989,
at 7 :30 p.m., at the City Hall, and that notice of such public
hearing shall be published in accordance with Minnesota State Law
and guidelines set forth by the Minnesota Departmen t of Revenue.
