A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING STREET OVERLAY AND
APPURTENANT WORK
PROJECT 89-1
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for local
improvements designated as Street Overlay and Appurtenant Work, Project
89-1, bids were received, opened on July 7, 1989, and tabulated according
to law, and the following bids were received complying with the
advertisements:
Hardrives, Inc.
Valley Paving Inc.
Alber Construction
Munn Blacktop, Inc.
H. L. Johnson Co.
Alexander Construction Co., Inc.
$112,344.00

$123,976.00
$124,475.25
$127,944.50
$128,795.00
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Hardrives, Inc., is
the lowest responsible bidder in compliance with the specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with Hardrives, Inc., in the name of the
City of Shorewood, Project No. 89-1, according to the plans and
specifications therefor approved by the City Council on file in the office
of the City Clerk.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except
for the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder, which
shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
