RESOLUTION NO. 35 - 89
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ELECTION OF LAURENCE WHITTAKER
TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, Laurence E. Whittaker was duly appointed City Administrator
and chief administrative officer by the City Council of the City of Shorewood
on April 10, 1989, and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 353.028 provides that the chief
administrative officer of a municipality may elect to be excluded from mem-
bership in the Public Employees Retirement Association, and,
WHEREAS, Laurence E. Whittaker has notified the City Council of his
election to be excluded from membership in the Public Employees RetireIDent
Association.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Shorewood hereby approves the election of Laurence E. Whittaker to be excluded
from the Public Employees Retirement Association according to Minnesota Sta-
tutes Section 353.028.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD THIS 24TH DAY OF APRIL,
1989.
