A RESOLUTION SETTING A FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE
REDEMPTION OF ANIMALS
WHEREAS, Shorewood Ci ty Code Section 701.08 , Subdivision 4
provides for the redemption of animals by the owner thereof upon payment
to the Animal Enforcement Officer certain charges for board and associated
costs; and
WHEREAS, said Subdivision provides for the City Council to set by
Resolution a pay schedule of impoundment fees payable upon the redemption
of such animal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
(1) That the initial impoundment fee for redemption of an animal
impounded by the Animal Enforcement Officer shall be $25.00.
( 2 ) That the fee for redemption of an animal impounded by the
Animal Enforcement Officer the second time within a period of twelve (12)
months shall be $50.00.
(3) That the fee for redemption of an animal impounded by the
~ Animal Enforcement Officer the third time within a period of twelve (12)
months shall be $100.00.
(4) That such impoundment fees shall be in addition to boarding
charges, license fees, and any fines that may be assessed against the
owner of the animal.
