RESOLurICN AOCEPI'ING HYDROIOOIC REPORr AND
APPROVING A S'IORVWATER J.V.lc\NAGE.VJE PLAN FOR 1HE
GLEN RQ\D - CDUNlY RQ\D 19 SUB WATERSHED
WHEREAS, the Shorewood City Council has determined the need for a
stomlWater management plan to control drainage in the area of Glen Road
and County Road 19 in the Ci ty of Shorewood; and
WHEREAS, on February 8, 1988, the Ci ty Counci I authori zed the
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District to cause its engineers to perform a
study of the area and prepare a report to include recommendations for
implementing such a stomlWater management plan; and
WHEREAS, such study was completed and a Hydrologic report was
prepared and submitted on June 14, 1988, by Eugene A. Hickok and
Associates, engineers for Minnehaha Creek Watershed District; and
WHEREAS, said report contained an analysis of the drainage
conditions existing in the area known as the Glen Road - County Road 19
subwatershed and presented an overall stomlWater management plan with
alternative solutions for addressing these conditions; and
WHEREAS, said report and recommended solutions were reviewed by
the Shorewood City Council on August 16, 1988, and October 4, 1988, at
joint meetings with the Ci ty Council of the City of Tonka Bay; and
WHEREAS, the report and recommendations as prepared and submitted
by the engineers were received favorably by both the City of Shorewood and
the Ci ty 0 f Tonka Bay.
N)iV, lHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Ci ty of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the City hereby accepts the Hydrologic report for the
Glen Road - County Road 19 Subwatershed dated June 14, 1988, submitted by
Eugene A. Hickok and Associates.
2. That the Ci ty hereby approves the stomlWater management plan
as presented in Solution NUmber One in said report.

3. That such acceptance and approval shall further serve as
authority for the developoont of Phase 2, consisting of construction on
lots 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 in that certain developoont platted as "Towne
Mdi t ion. "
