WHEREAS, it is necessary and advisable in the public interest
that the City of Shorewood, Hennepin County, Minnesota, widen and straighten
Wedgewood Drive, a street within the City Limits of the City of Shorewood,
Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish such purpose, it is necessary to
acquire land shown in the attached Exhibit "A", said Exhibit "A" being made a
part hereof by reference; and
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood has been advised and believes that
the most feasible manner in which to widen and straighten Wedgewood Drive is
as shown on Exhibit "A" and in order to accomplish the same, it is necessary
to obtain penmanent easements for roadway and utility purposes as shown on
said attached Exhibit "A".
WV, 'lliEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Ci ty of
Shorewood, Minnesota, that the City of Shorewood proceed to acquire and
procure title interests, as pennanent easements, to the land shown on Exhibit
"A", attached hereto and made a part hereof, under its rights of eminent
domain and that the City Attorneys, Froberg & Penberthy, P.A., Minnetonka,
Minnesota, be and hereby are authorized, instructed and directed to file the
necessary petition or petitions therefore, to serve the necessary notices
therefore, and to prosecute such actions or proceedings to successful
conclusion or until it is abandoned, dismissed or tenninated by the City or
by the Court; and that the Ci ty Attorneys, Mayor, and the Clerk of the Ci ty
do all things necessary to be done in connection with the prosecution and
successful conclusion and/or tennination of such eminent domain proceedings.
