RESOLUI'ICN ACrnPTING BID FOR SEAL cn\TING, OVERIAY AND
APPURIENANl' \\ORK FOR 1988 STREET IMPROVEYJENI' PROJECI' # 8 8-1
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for local
improvements designated as the 1988 Street Improvement Project #88-1, bids
were received, opened on July 11, 1988, and tabulated according to law,
and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
H.L. Johnson Co.
Bury & Carlson, Inc.
Alber Construction
$ 123,000.50
$ 123,254.90
$ 132,995.00
WHEREAS, the Ci ty Counci 1 has determined that H.L. Johnson Co. is
the lowest responsible bidder in compliance with the specifications.
rov, 'IHEREFrnE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci ty Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Mayor and Ci ty Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into contract with H.L. Johnson Co. in the nrone of the
City of Shorewood for Project #88-1, according to the plans and
specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except
that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder
shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
