RESOLurICN ID. 77-18 A RESOLurICN GRANTING A CllilDITICNAL USE PERVIIT FOR AIDITICN AOCESSORY SPACE WHEREAS, Gary Petrich (Applicant) is the owner of real property located at 27280 Edgewood Road in the City of Shorewood, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, legally described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the Applicant is engaged in an extensive home remodell ing and expansion proj ect and has applied to the Ci ty for a Conditional Use Penmit for the construction of a three-car, 936 square foot garage on one level and a 576 square foot garage on a lower level, which garages will total 1,512 square feet; and WHEREAS, the Shorewood Ci ty Code requires a Condi tional Use Penmit for the construction of an accessory building or combination of accessory buildings containing an excess of 1000 square feet; and WHEREAS, the Applicant presently has an existing detached garage located on the property, which will be demolished; and WHEREAS, the application was reviewed by the Shorewood Planning Carrnission at a public hearing held on 5 July, 1988, and approval was recomnended by the Carrnission. NJ;V, 'lHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID by the City Counci I of the Ci ty of Shorewood as follows: FINDINGS OF FACl' 1. That the total proposed accessory space (1,512 square feet) does not exceed "footprint" area of the principal structure (3,278 square feet) . 2. That the total area of accessory space (1,512 square feet) does not exceed 10% of the minimum lot area for the R-1A Zoning District in which it is located (4,000 square feet). 3. That the proposed addition complies with all setbacks of the R-1A district, and no IOOre grading is necessary than that required for a simple addition to this house. 4. That the architectural character of the proposed attached garages is considered to be consistent with the principal dwelling. . . . a:NCLUSICN 1.
