In response to your letter dated 1/5/05, I am writing to once again express my interest
in being a Park Commissioner for the City of Shorewood. My current term as a Park
Commissioner will end on 2/28/05. My initial term of one year, fulfilling the balance of
another commissioner's term, although brief, has also been productive and positive for the
community.
Please consider me for a full term on the Park Commission commencing on 2/28/05.
My first year has allowed me to become familiar with city staff, organizations and
opportunities to contribute to the community. I look forward to contributing to the
community as a Park Commissioner.

Craig and Jean,
I understand that my current term on the Park Commission is coming to an end. I have very much enjoyed being
on the Park Commission and would like to continue with another term.
That said, I know that I am traveling quite a bit with my current job and have missed a number of commission
meetings and have been quite useless as a liaison to the Council, (since it is hard for me to know if I'm going to
be in town.)
So I leave it up to you. If you find someone who can be at the meetings on a much more regular basis and is very
interested in being on the Commission, then I think it might be a good choice to put them on.
If during the search you don't find anyone that you would like to ,have on the Commission, I am very interested in
staying on and will try my best to be home that one night a month. It sounds like such an easy thing, but turns out
to be harder than I had expected. The weeks I travel, I'm either already out of town Tuesday or flying Tuesday
night to be at my destination Wednesday.
Let me know what you decide.
