A RESOLUfIoo ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT 00 WEIXE\aD DRIVE

WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Shorewood
City Council by residents of Wedgewood ~ive that a special hazard exists
due to the configuration of the street; and
WHEREAS, the existing speed 1 imi t on a portion of Wedgewood ~ive
is 30 nph; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has conducted
an engineering and traffic investigation to determine the reasonable and
safe speed on such street; and
WHEREAS, as a resul t of such engineering and traffic
investigation, the Commissioner of Transportation has authorized a speed
limi t of 20 nph for all of Wedgewood ~ive.
WV, 11IEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Ci ty of
Shorewood, Minnesota:
1. That the City Council of the City of Shorewood hereby
establishes a speed 1 imit of 20 nph for all of Wedgewood ~ive.
2. That the Public Works Department is hereby directed to erect
appropriate signs on Wedgewood ~ive, designating the speed limit thereon
to be 20 nph.
3. That the new speed limi t for all of Wedgewood ~ive shall
become effective at the time of erection of said appropriate signs.
