Commissioner Recognition
Park and Planning Commissioners are recognized for their service as soon as possible after their
term has expired. Typically this recognition takes place at the Regular CoUncil meeting and the
Mayor and Council present the individual with a service award plaque.
Staffhas received arequest from Pat Arnst, Park Commission Chair, stating that Commission
Chairs should present the award with the Mayor and Council. Pat would like to participate in the
award recognition for former Park Commissioners Kate Lynch Bix and Ken Dallman.
If participation by the Park Commission Chair were to happen, the practice should be extended
to the Planning Commission Chair in recognizing former Planning Commissioners.
Council may wish to discuss and re-evaluate the Commissioner recognition event.
