I am writing in response to an article in the Lakeshore Weekly News August, 12 edition
requesting volunteers for the Land Conservation / Environmental Committee. I have a
great deal of interest and concern related to this topic, and believe that my experience
would be very valuable to the city of Shorewood.
My work currently deals with host parasite interactions as related to trees, and wood
degradation processes. However, I have a great deal of knowledge and experience in
forestry, fisheries and wildlife, and environmental sciences.
With my extensive background in natural resource related issues and employment with
state, federal and international agencies / organizations, I feel that my qualifications are
quite adequate for the position.
