At the Deoember meeting he asked for a simple divi-
sion of his property located in R-l area, across the
street from an R-2 zone. He will be seeking a recom-
mendation to the council from you.
2. Informal disoussion with Will Stageberg who operates a
business out of 23505 Smithtown Road (the old nursery
property near the now existing "Fruit Basket"). He
would like a zoning change for the that property from
R-5and R-4 to Commercial. One possible question
is whether that land (if it is filled land) can
support multiple housing. See eno10sed map for lo-
cation.
3. Review proposals submitted by Planners for Comprehensive
Land Use Planning. (5 enclosed.)
4. Update Ordinance Book.

request to rezone that paroel at Christmas Lake
Road and Highway 7 to C-I will be soheduled.
Also Orla Anderson of Murray Street wishes to
disouss a simple division of his property.
Larry Skalicky of Realty Shoppe wishes to come
in for an informal disoussion regarding the
rezoning of the triangle at the interseotion
of Highway 7 and Cha.ska Road right aoross from
Country Kitohen. He wishes to rezone it to
C-I from an R-2 zone. They:' would like to put
a building there to serve a.s their offioe.

by Richard N. Thompson for his property
facing Woodside ROad, 8.75 acres, to be
divided into 8 lots, of 40,000 square
feet or more. This is an R-l area. In-
cluded is the engineer's report but the
attorney's report was not ready for trans-
mi ttal yet.
2. Informal discussion with Robert Sommer
regarding subdivision of property at the
intersection of Covington Road and Vine
Hill Road. See page 3 of your half section
maps, lower right hand corner for the Sommer
property in question - about 40 acres.
There are 1,792,005 square feet in this paroel

At the South Shore Planning meeting of July 20th
at the Tonka Bay City Hall, it was decided each
planning commission should get acquainted with
their cities' Systems Statement.
Vern and I cooked up a scheme to divide the state-
ment into sections and assign an area for each one
of you (except me) to report on next Thursday.
So-o-o, you have in your packet:
1. An "assigned" portion of the systems
statement
2. Shorewood's response (written by Steve
and Frank Kelly) to the statement, in-
cluding your particular section only.
3. Metro Council's response to Shorewood's
concerns.
NOTE: If you cannot attend the meeting, please
arrange to have someone else do your study
and make a report at the meeting.

lots. Four different people at different
times came in to inqu:l.:re about dividing
lots. It would result in lots considerably
below requirements, but since such a
number on the same street may the same :re-
quest, Elsa thought they should discuss
it with you.) ..
3. 8:30 PUBLIO HEARING - request by Gary Minion
to rezone the former Shorewood Nursery
Property to 0-2 for the purpose of establish-
ing a nursery there. The former non-conto:rm-
ing use has dissolved. This party and Will
Stageberg and David Carlson discussed this
with you before. The council advised them
to go through with a Public Hearing on their
request.
4. Jane Oole has (according to previous direction)
cOI'lle forth with a revised version of the
"R and R" - now termed "Boat Harboring
Commercial District" and she wishes to intro-

Jay Carpenter of Redfield Homes would like some direction as to
possible development of Lots 71 and 72, Aud. Sub. 141 in the R-l
single family, before preparing a preliminary plat for a hearing.
Property located on St. Albans Bay Road - known as the Avery Fick
property - S 1/2 Sect. 25 - Map 2.
1 had a request from Doug Shoutz requesting information on the development
of a 4-acre site presently owned by A.C. Bravo - Lot 1, Minnewashta Acres.
He may be at the meeting informally if Vern Watten recommends it.

Dr. Steve Larson will not be present at the meeting.
An HAfter Christmas - New Year's Part~t is in the planning stage.
The date set is Saturday, January 7, 1977. Reserve that evening and
invitations will be sent out later.
1 am introducing our latest employee, Mrs. Roberta (Bobbie) Dybvik.
She has agreed to attend the planning commission meetings and take _inutes.
Since she is new to Shorewood she will need your cooperation when discussing
the areas and our regulations. 1 know that you will be patient and be explicit
