Dear Mr. Hurm:
I wish to express my interest in the City Council position advertised in the January 31st edition of the
Excelsior/Shorewood Sun Sailor newspaper. I understand that the selected individual will not serve out
Mr. Malam's term (Dee (98), but only up to the next election (Dee (96). Having read numerous Minutes
of Council Meetings, J am aw&e that the job involves significant dema.flds on time and I am prepared to
meet them.
I have familiarized myself with the literature entitled "City Council and Its Powers" and believe I meet
all the legal requirements to hold the position. I have enclosed a modified resume for the Council's
review and look forward to an interview in early March.
Due upcoming travel plans, I will be unavailable until March 1st.
Sincerely,
