CITY OF SHOREWOOD
RESOLUTION NO. 05- 106
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF A LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD AND HENNEPIN COUNTY
FOR ELECTION EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners has authorized the purchase
of Election Equipment for a countywide optical scan voting system, and Assisted Voting
Technology Equipment (A VT Equipment); and
WHEREAS, the County will lease one unit of Election Equipment, related Hardware and
Services for each precinct in the City of Shorewood, and one unit of Assisted Voting Teclmology
Equipment, related Hardware and Services for each precinct and absentee voting location in the
City of Shorewood, as stated in the attached Lease Agreement No. A052276; and
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood desires to lease five (5) Modell 00 Optical Scan
Precinct Count Units, related Hardware and Services; and six (6) AutoMARK A VT Equipment,
related Hardware and Services, from the County for use in all City elections;
WHEREAS, Agreement A083l0, dated August 3,1999, is hereby recinded and replaced
with Agreement A052276;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood, Minnesota:
That the Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to enter into Lease
Agreement No. A052276 with Helmepin County for Election Equipment, A VT
Equipment, and related Hardware and Services for use in all City Elections.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD this 12th
day of December, 2005.
