RESOLUTION NO. 08-007
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER 1
FOR THE REHABILITATION OF LIFT STATION #12 PROJECT,
CITY PROJECT NO. 06-01
WHEREAS, on July 23, 2007, the City of Shorewood entered into a contract for
construction with Engineering and Construction Innovations, Inc. for the Rehabilitation
of Lift Station #12 Project, City Project No. 06-01; and
WHEREAS, Engineering and Construction hnlovations, Inc has prepared Change
Order 1 attached hereto as Exhibit A, for additional work outside of the original contract;
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has reviewed said Change Order and
found it to be cost effective for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Shorewood to approve
Change Order Number 1 with Engineering and Construction hmovations, Inc., that
incorporates services outlined in Change Order 1, attached hereto as Exhibit A.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood this 28th day of
January, 2008.

Shorewood to delay the commencei~~ent of site activities frn~ the City of Slaore~~rood Lift
Station Numl3er 12 Project until spring 2004, The put-1?ose of this correspondcnce is to
address the project impacts that arc a result of this direction.
iVlaterial suppliers have been contacted regarding warranty, escalation and material
warehousing concerns. The pump s>.rpplicr, ElectricPump confirmed that they 4~~ill honor
their warranty fi•on~ date of illstailation. The control panel supplier, Quality Flow also
conlii-~ned their «~arrat~ty fi-ozn time of installation on the condition that ECI stores ilae
control panel in a heated environment through the tit~inter• months. ECI ~~~ill store all lift
station n~atcrials at our shop and is asking for a one hundred dollars per month
«~arehol~TSing hee.. Altornativel~r, 1~.C"1 swill deli~~ea• the control panel and pumps to the city
for storage fora 5250 delivery fee.
The subeotltractors have also been contacted to discuss cost escalation for their services.

ECI will incur equipment operating az~d labor escalation costs for project delays to the
2008 construction season. The labor and equipztrent escalation costs are $700 for the
20()8 construction year.
