03-004 EDA . SHOREWOOD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY Hennepin County, Minnesota . RESOLUTION NO. 03- 004 A RESOLUTION A WARDING AND AUTHORIZING ASSIGNMENT OF CONTRACTS FOR BID DIVISIONS NOS. 1 THROUGH 18, BID PACKAGE NO.1 FOR THE SOUTH LAKE MINNETONKA PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITIES PROJECT EFD EAST STATION WHEREAS, the Shorewood Economic Development Authority (EDA), with agreement and by several contracts with the cities of Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood, and Tonka Bay, and with the Excelsior Fire District, has undertaken construction of the EFD East Station at 20225 Cottagewood Road, Deephaven; and WHEREAS, with the concurrence of these parties, the Shorewood EDA has engaged the services of Kraus-Anderson Construction Company for the construction of this facility; and WHEREAS, the EDA placed an advertisement for bids in accordance with State law for work in the eighteen bid divisions within Bid Package No.1, and opened these bids on September 30, 2003; and WHEREAS, these bids have been reviewed for accuracy and completeness by Kraus-Anderson Construction Company, and it has recommended award of contracts for Bid Division Nos. 1 through 18 in Bid Package No.1; and . WHEREAS, the governing board of the EFD considered this recommendation at meetings it held on October 8 and 21,2003, and subsequently made a contingent recommendation that these contracts be awarded, NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of the Shorewood Economic Development Authority, that 1) The contracts for Bid Divisions No.1 -18 in Bid Package No.1, be awardedto the firms listed in Exhibit A, per their respective bids opened September 30,2003, upon the issuance of a building permit for the EFD East Station. 2) The EDA hereby authorizes assignment of these Contracts to Kraus-Anderson Construction Company. At its meeting this evening, the Shorewood Economic Development Authority awarded and assigned to Kraus-Anderson Construction Company all 18 bid divisions for the Excelsior Fire District East Station (the east facility in the South Lake Minnetonka Public Safety Facilities Project). This action is effective only upon Kraus-Anderson's receipt of the building permit for this facility. Bids were opened on September 30, 2003, and the following contracts are awarded by the EDA and assigned to Kraus-Anderson per the bids submitted. .
