RESOLUTION NO. 02 - 007
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID AND ASSIGNING THE CONTRACT
FOR BID PACKAGE NO.1, BID DIVISION NOS. 1 AND 2
FOR THE SOUTH LAKE MINNETONKA PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITIES PROJECT
EFD WEST/SLMPD STATION
WHEREAS, the Shorewood Economic Development Authority (EDA), with agreement and by
several contracts with the cities of Deep haven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood, and Tonka
Bay, and with the Excelsior Fire District and the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department,
has undertaken construction of the EFD WestlSLMPD Station at 24140 Smithtown Road; and
WHEREAS, with the concurrence of these parties, the Shorewood EDA has engaged the services of
Kraus-Anderson Construction Company for the construction of this facility; and
WHEREAS, the EDA placed an advertisement for bids in accordance with State law for work in the
three bid divisions within Bid Package No.1, and opened these bids on October 24,2002; and
WHEREAS, these bids have been reviewed for accuracy and completeness by Kraus-Anderson
Construction Company, and it has recommended award of a contract for Bid Division Nos. 1
and 2; and
WHEREAS, the governing boards of the EFD and SLMPD considered this recommendation at a
joint meeting held November 4, 2002, and they subsequently approved the recommendation
that the contract be awarded,
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, Board of the Shorewood Economic Development Authority, that
1) The Contract for Bid Division No. 1 - Excavation and Demolition, and Bid Division
No.2 - Site Utilities, be awarded to Doboszenski & Sons, Inc., per its bid opened
October 24, 2002.
2) The EDA hereby assigns this Contract to Kraus-Anderson Construction Company.
