RESOLUTION NO. 08- 054
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO'S 451 AND 452 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, on July 14, 2008, the City Council of the City of Shorewood adopted
Ordinance No.451 entitled "An Ordinance Amending Title 900, Chapter 903 of the Shorewood
City Code Relating to Water"; and Ordinance No.452 entitled "License, Permit, Service
Charges, and Miscellaneous Fees";
WHEREAS, the City staff has prepared a summary of the Ordinance as follows:
1. Ordinance No. 451 revises the Water Code to require properties that are connected to
City Water shall not irrigate between 11 am and 4:30 pm. This Ordinance amends the
existing Chapter 903 of the Shorewood City Code.
2. Ordinance No. 452 revises the Fees Code to add fines of $50 for the first violation
and an additional $25 for each successive violation of the water conservation
ordinance. (e.g. 2nd violation $75, 3rd violation $100, etc.) This Ordinance amends
the existing Chapter 1301 of the Shorewood City Code.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD:
1. The City Council finds that the above title and summary of Ordinance No. 451
and Ordinance No.452 clearly informs the public of intent and effect of the
Ordinance.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish this Resolution, in lieu of publication of the
entire text of Ordinance No._451 and Ordinance No. 452 pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes, Section 412.191, subdivision 4.
3. A full copy of Ordinance No. 457- and Ordinance No. 452 is available at
Shorewood City Hall and on the City's website.
ADOPTED by the Shorewood City Council on this 14th day of July, 2008.
